Today marks 1/24th of my mission complete. Where did the time go?
Naturally this week held no shortage of wacky antics, just like the last. The last four nights have had heavy rain and thunder storms. A few nights ago after we all ran into the cafeteria, we watched through the windows the progress of others trying to get in. We saw two sad elders who did not have umbrellas, wading along the road to get here. Outside the window, however, they both sat down in the overflowing gutter at the side of the road, water flowing over their waists, and pretended to row a canoe. Tumultuous applause followed.
I told Elder P that if he lets me wear his goggle glasses I will pretend to swim in the gutter, but he said no.
One of our teachers showed us a 'magic trick' which supposedly makes someone lighter. It resulted in four large Americans throwing me into the ceiling.
Elder P and I had a skype call with a member from Costa Rica. We discussed the importance of teaching through our example, but when we started trying to give her an invitation the call started having connection problems. Sad.
My pictures for you this week include a large moth, a t shirt that I bought, and a mural I drew on the whiteboard in our house.
Hope you're all working as hard as I am.
Elder Godivala
