Elder Godivala's parents here. We found a little treat tucked in amongst our church stuff this morning. It was a print out of his farewell talk from church. We thought you might like to read it (or re-live it if you were there).
His brilliant writing, coupled with his unique delivery and perfect comic timing, made for an unforgettable experience. At least one bishop has tried to impress upon our son that treating a Sunday talk as a 15-min stand up routine was not necessarily the required approach but to no avail...
Thank you, Leslie. Elder Godivala heads to Costa Rica on Tuesday. As you can see from the most recent post he is raring to go. Best wishes to Sister Johnson.
I am so happy to discover this blog! My daughter, Zoë Johnson, reports to the CCM on November 5th. You will be gone by the time she arrives, but she is assigned to the Costa Rica San Jose West mission. She will be there just before Christmas. The country is beautiful! She is so excited to serve the Costa Rican people. Good luck!
What a wonderful talk! As I read it I could hear you delivering it, Cyrus.... that is, until the Spanish testimony. As I've never heard you speaking Spanish I opted to picture delivering it a Mexican bandit off a Sergio Leone spaghetti western. He didn't quite pull it off like you would!
